A little break, no farmer's market this Saturday

With the start of the school year and volleyball season, my week has started off jam packed leaving at 6:30 and getting home around 9.  This schedule isn't exactly promoting health and serenity.  So because of this I will not be doing the Farmer's market this Saturday. I'll be using that time to make bows and spend time with my family before another crazy week starts up again.  Thankfully there aren't any no volleyball tryouts =).

Hope all is well with all of you.  My goal is to get pictures up, but of course, that takes time.

August Greetings

A warm August hello!  A couple of fun exciting things have happened as we gear up for school starting.  I've added a couple of new characters to our bunch; spooky ghosts, a lovable Frankenstein, candy corns by themselves or with a bow, and spiders with some bling.  All to get ready for the spooky fun of Halloween.

We will be at the Farmer's Market in Canon City on August 14 and 28.  Don't forget that if you missed us at the Market you can catch us at Canon Kids on South 9th street.

Also, if you have an outfit or idea that you want/need custom colors we can make it to match.  Come by the booth to check our color options or bring the outfit and we can go from there.

Remember, we're on Facebook: www.facebook.com/raeofsunshinebows  Hope to see you on Saturday!!

Exciting News!

Our bows are now being sold at Canon Kids!  Now when you go in to find your child's clothing and item needs, you can buy Rae of Sunshine Bows!

We're really excited about this opportunity.   Links to their websites/facebook/etc to come!

Farmer's Market

What an amazing market day!  We went through cloudy, chilly, to blazing hot, to big dollops of rain.  Truly a beautiful Colorado Saturday.

As for the business, I have my work cut out for me.  About 1/3-1/2 of the inventory was sold so I need to get busy and make some more.

We will not be doing market day until July 17.  We are going out to California for a family visit and celebration.  Then I have to coach some volleyball at a tournament.

I will be in search of new ideas and new ribbon.  If you have any ideas, let me know and I'll give it a try.

More new bows

I've been a busy little bee!  Here is the new stuff!

Single bow is $3 and the set is $5.
The playful tuxedo bow to add a bit of whimsy to an outfit.

Little Gray Mouse $5
The cutest mouse.  I'd love to have this mouse in my house!  The clip and it's bow can come in a variety of colors.  If you would like something specific let me know and I can do that.

$5 each
Dalmation!  These cute little doggies are just adorable!  That's all I can say about that.

$5 each
For those Disney lovers, this Minnie mouse is sure to add that extra little Disney touch! The clip and Minnie's bow can come in different colors.  Right now I have purple, fushia, and patriotic Minnie's.

Also working on some clippies that are just the clip with some fun ribbon or a little embellishment.  Letting the ribbon stand on it's own.  Photos to come!

New inventory!

Yesterday I got to have a little time (thanks E) to come up with some new clips.  Here they are!

$5 each
Penguins live in the cold, but this will sure warm many hearts. Can add a bow tie if you'd like.

$5 for the set
Give some sassy style using these tuxedo bows.

$5 each
Who doesn't like a teddy bear?! Can come in different colors.

New Ribbon

I got my ribbon shipment in and waiting to get some time to experiment and come up with new designs.Once E goes down for a nap, I'm hoping to get some bows cut and possibly put together.  Looking to bring out some new inventory this weekend at the Farmer's Market.

Will update later with pictures and a post.

Wish me luck!

New products

Despite my daughter's 101ish temperature and her sudden outbursts of tears and whimpering I got some tuxedo bows in zebra print and white ribbon completed.  I think they are fun for any age.

I'm also putting together some penguins.  They are sure to melt some hearts.

Pictures to come.  Off to give more tylenol to the baby.

Facebook

I am working on connecting this blog to my facebook account. Please stop by and become a friend.

Have a great Sunday! For those of you in Colorado try to stay dry!

June update

It has been awhile since I've posted last. It's funny how momentum in your life can shift so quickly. We've done 2 Canon City Farmer's Markets with wonderful feedback and great results.
I've also searched and planned out some future bow creations that I'm excited to get moving on. Once I get some made I'll post them. I'm thinking; dogs, flamingos, and turtles, oh my!

Today at the market, J and I were talking booth set-up. I think we came up with some great ideas. We also talked about adding another display board of just holiday bows.

Looks like I've got a lot of work ahead of me! Looking forward to the next market day, June 26! (We won't be there next weekend because J and I are celebrating our anniversary, pretty good reason...huh?)

See you on the 26th!

Spring is in the air

The Calla Lilly sells for $5
Nothing says springtime like a Calla Lilly. These are a sweet and delightful little clippies.

The button flower sells $4 each.
These button flowers are a great spring time addition. Both the flowers and the buttons can come in a variety of colors. If you'd like yours custom made, please be specific in your description so that the finished product is what you were expecting. I have a shipment of pinks, purple, yellow, and blue coming in. Once I get them I'll post what I have available.

posts coming soon

I am working hard to get organized and post some pictures of the bows and prices. Please give me a little bit of time. Please come back and check in again soon!

The beginning

This is the start of a new adventure for me and my family. Having a beautiful daughter, Evelyn Rae, I found this new passion for making bows and clippies, which gives that little sparkle, touch, or sunshine to an outfit. I found that I really enjoy making the clippies in anticipation of seeing people's reactions when she wears them.

With the help of my husband, giving me that little nudge, I am encouraged to start this journey of selling my crafts.

I will use this blog to show new projects, items, and events. I hope to be successful but most importantly provide that little bit of sunshine for your girls or yourself!
